I am a lifelong Tulsa resident, married for over 20 years, and a father of 5 beautiful red-headed kiddos. I started Kingdom Custom Woodworking in 2008, but have been in the construction business for over twenty years. I began working with my dad, Scott Butters, in 1999.
I have been blessed to work in some of Tulsa's premiere homes over the past two decades. One of the things I enjoy the most is creating new cabinetry and woodworking, which seamlessly blends in with the craftsmanship of work installed half a century (or more!) ago. I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, so I love the mental aspects of understanding the client's wants and needs, and figuring out how to express those desires through a pile of lumber and plywood! I also recently received my Masters of Divinity through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and enjoy serving God's people in a variety of ways in His church!
The name of my company says much about my heart and vision for the work that I do. I believe that, first and foremost, I am an "employee" of the Kingdom of God, so therefore I try to conduct all of my business, on and off the jobsite, as one "working for the Lord." (Colossians 3:23) I also believe that I am a representative of the Kingdom as well, so you may be assured that I will do my best to work with excellence, competence, respect, and a cheerful heart! I look forward to serving you in any way that I can on your next project!!
